The Maidenhead United FC Community Trust is delighted to announce the appointment of our first Trust Manager, Helen Preedy, who took up her new post on Tuesday January 11th 2022.

Helen brings a wealth of voluntary and community sector experience from her previous roles as Sport Development Manager and Equalities and Community Engagement Officer at the Royal Borough if Windsor and Maidenhead. She has been responsible for delivering a range of community sports and volunteer initiatives locally over a number of years

Trust Chairman, Graham Alfred said: “I have known Helen for some time and was pleased that following a rigorous recruitment process, Helen came through and accepted the new post.

Helen has considerable experience of working with a number of the Trust’s existing partners and a wide range of contacts within the community and sports sectors locally. She will take the leading role in expanding the Trust’s role within the wider community.

Chief Executive Jon Adams commented: “Over the last two year the Community Trust has experienced significant change. We have expanded our areas of activity, with a particular focus on supporting the health and wellbeing of the most vulnerable within our community through initiatives such as Magpies Community Care, our Wellbeing Circles pilot project, and the Magpies 150 Challenge. The Community Trust Manager role will be fundamental to the effective ongoing delivery of our extensive community programme and I have no doubt that Helen’s experience will enable the Trust to continue to develop and grow over the coming years.”

Trust Manager Helen Preedy said: “I’m thrilled to be joining such a fantastic organisation, which makes such a difference within the local community. We already deliver a varied range of sport, health and wellbeing activities across Maidenhead and the surrounding areas, my role will be to oversee the delivery and growth of these activities, whilst raising the charity’s profile and developing partnerships to help increase our reach and benefit for the local community.”
